Be sure that your always wear pads. Pads from UGP are the best by far. Check them out at www.undergroundproducts.com so you can spare yourself from scraps and bruises.

Dirt jumping is one of the trick areas that we all did when we were kids. Only know you be a star doing the same stuff. Here is a sample of some things you could try.

Bar-Turn

As simple as in sounds. When jumping turn your bars to one side or the other. If you want to make your trick look even more fancy, include some upper body twists as well.

Can-can/One Footer

Two very similar tricks. Start with the one-footer and when jumping take your best foot off the pedal and wave it in the air. The can-can adds an extra element to this. You need to take your foot off the pedal and cross over your tube. A lot of guys always have problems landing because they do not watch their pedals. They move when our foot is not attached so plan for this and keep your eye on where they are.

No-footer

Here is the best place to use your UGP shin pads. It was always recommended that your tighten your cranks to optimize a minimal movement of your pedals. You don not want them to spin around. When you jump, start off small and take both foot off the pedals andthrow them in the air. Be sure that your foot come back to the pedals well before you land or this could cause problems. The rear of your back will descend, sometimes quite a bit, so keep your focus on this part to. This trick sounds easy but for some people it just ain?t. Practice makes perfect, and bailing is always an option. Wearing your shin pads will minimize your scraps.

Full Circle

No you are a pro bmxboy. Boys who do this trick have the air height down pat. You need air. If you skate and can do a 360 your experience will help. Sometimes it is a good idea to practice on the ground and try to do a ½ circle. A key rule to follow is wear your eyes go is where your bike is going to go, Keep focused. When you jump, and get good air, turn your handlebars and head with all of your might in one direction and keep going. In the back of your mind always be aware of your surroundings and when your final landing spot will be. You need speed but to much. As you learn to do this you can probably get ½ or ¾ circles easy. With practice increase your speed and the full circles will come

No-Hander

Here you need to let your body take control of the bikes. The trick is exactly as it sounds – a no-hander. As soon as you leave the jump pull up on the front end (into almost a vertical position) and tightly grasp your bike between your legs. Take your hands off the pedals and wave to all of your adoring fans. With time your hands will come off further and further. You need to keep your hands straight to keep the bike in balance. A Straight out No Hander is similar but you keep your hands out to the side. You need to be careful here because you balance can be easily swayed to one side.
